What we do

AGMP provides governance and management support to Aboriginal organisations in remote communities throughout the

Northern Territory.

We deliver culturally appropriate workshops and mentoring in good governance and leadership to board members and managers of Aboriginal organisations.

We provide practical support, specific to local needs. As an Aboriginal-run program, we understand the remote Northern Territory context and the opportunities and challenges of working in cross-cultural, isolated environments.

We build empowered leadership in Aboriginal organisations, which leads to more effective service delivery and better outcomes for the whole community.

“Tjukurrpa, the law, gives us self-determination on the land, and that’s how we learnt and get our leadership role. From the law you already have your constitution, your rights, your land. We’ve been doing governance every day in our own cultures”
