Deewin Kirim is an Aboriginal corporation based in Peppimenarti, a community of about 220 people, 320km southwest of Darwin in the Daly River Port Keats Aboriginal Land Trust.

Asyrikarrak Kirim Rangers actively engage with Traditional Owners and community members in natural and cultural resource management.

Deewin Kirim is currently looking for a Ranger Coordinator to lead the team of 6-10 rangers in daily work operations. The work supports Traditional Owners' aspirations across core land management functions of weed, feral and fire management as well as many other Natural Resource Management (NRM) projects including recycling and waste reduction, community cultural and education.

Applicants should have tertiary qualifications in NRM or related field experience and will have experience in community development in a contemporary Aboriginal context; an ability to communicate effectively in cross cultural context and to manage small teams in a remote setting; and excellent written or oral communication and computer skills with solid reporting abilities.

There will be significant travel into remote areas, so possession of driver license and an ability 4WD safely is essential.

The position is for a term of 12 months with option to renew, salary is $80 000, commencing as soon as possible. The employment package include a generous superannuation contribution, a relocation subsidy and free accommodation, including utility bills.
